WESTWORLD Season 3 Trailer

By on February 21, 2020

Ever wonder how the world outside of the parks — our world — came to fall into such a dystopian state?

Why is there such a stark contrast between the haves and the have nots? Why do so many people choose an immersive fantasy over reality, and why are humans so awfully cruel to the A.I.’s they have created in our own image?

A new teaser trailer for Westworld’s upcoming third season hints at the answers to some of those questions at least, and starts with Donald Trump’s impeachment!

Covering hot button topics such as political unrest in Hong Kong, 45’s impeachment, and ecological collapse in Indonesia, a timeline of humanity’s worst moments unfurls as a series of “divergence” moments in time that go on to span future events such as the assassination of a future US president in Buenos Aires, a thermonuclear incident in Paris, and a second civil war in Russia. All the while, a voiceover reminds us that we are at war.

And if that’s not enough to whet your whistle, an absolutely kickass new San Diego Comic Con trailer, featuring all of our Westworld faves, and some new faces, can be found below too.

Season 3 of Westworld debuts on HBO on Sunday, March 15 at 9 pm.

Season 3 cast includes returning stars Evan Rachel Wood, Emmy winner Thandie Newton, Ed Harris, Jeffrey Wright, Tessa Thompson, Luke Hemsworth, Simon Quarterman, and new cast members Aaron Paul, Vincent Cassel, Lena Waithe, Scott Mescudi, Marshawn Lynch, John Gallagher Jr., Michael Ealy, and Tommy Flanagan.

Created for television by Jonathan Nolan & Lisa Joy, Westworld is a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the birth of a new form of life on Earth.
