Producers and stars of the geeky hit CBS comedy The Big Bang Theory are teasing us with hints about their upcoming 100th episode, the thirteenth of season five, which is scheduled to air on January 19th. The plot is being described as “quirky,” with “a lot of twists and turns” and is also considered to be “a homage to the pilot,” in which the nerdy scientist roommates Leonard and Sheldon (Johnny Galecki and Emmy winner Jim Parsons) meet their new neighbor, a blonde knockout named Penny (Kaley Cuoco) who is decidedly non-nerdy.
There will almost certainly be plenty of on-again-off-again couple Leonard and Penny in the milestone episode, which has the slightly spoilery title ‘The Recombination Hypothesis.’ As the official synopsis from CBS tells us,”Everything might change when Leonard offers Penny a spur of the moment invitation to a romantic dinner for two.”
‘The Recombination Hypothesis’ will air Thursday, January 19 at 8 PM ET/PT on CBS.
