Bones is back on Tuesday with a little romance, humor and a dollop of retirement home drama as Brennan and Booth find themselves amid squabbling couples when the body of an old man is found in an acid dump site, and no one seems to know how he got there.
At they investigate the case, both onsite and in the lab, talk begins to turn to marriage, love and babies, prompting very different responses among those couples involved.
We’ve seen the episode a little early, thanks to our friends at FOX, and have a modest collection of quick and cheerful take-aways for you this week. We’d share more but our strict policy on spoilers prevents us from getting into the nitty gritty on this occasion.

The contents of Aubrey’s smoothie, featured in promos from this week’s episode, were speculated about by some recently. We can confirm that no, the smoothie is not a romantic gesture or gift, but simply part of a junk food cleanse.
However Aubrey’s efforts to eat more healthily have the unwanted side effect of bad breath — or “a toxic blast of camel butt” in Booth’s own words.
Don’t worry. Aubrey’s breath problems will be short lived once he finds a better use for his beverage.
