This week’s episode of Chicago PD picks up on a story-ine introduced in Wednesday’s Chicago Fire installment, featuring a colossal fire in an old building that leaves Olinsky’s (Elias Koteas) daughter fighting for her life.
The sheer scale of the blaze, coupled with the personal angle, leaves Intelligence on edge, but more determined than ever to track down the suspect.
Voight (Jason Beghe) opens up the case, knowing that he has Stone (guest star Philip Winchester) and his team’s full support in the investigation, and all of Firehouse 51 behind him to examine potential origins of the fire.
This special Chicago PD episode will see Intelligence working to connect the dots between the building owner, those who were inside, and a string of potential suspects, before picking up the storyline again in Thursday’s Chicago Med and also in a special preview episode of Chicago Justice on the same night.
Now with someone in custody for both arson and multiple murders, it is up to Peter Stone and his team, including lead investigator Antonio Dawson (Jon Seda) to step in to bring some peace and resolution to so many families and friends of those lost.
However when the team comes face to face with a hotshot attorney (guest star Bradley Whitford), they find themselves up against a dicey confession, incriminating evidence, and a questionable motive.
We’ve got two new sneak peek clips from the episode to share below.
The “Emotional Proximity” episode of Chicago PD airs Wednesday, March 1 at 9 pm ET/PT on NBC.
