Newly appointed President Kirkman finds the prospect of his very first television interview all the more daunting when a security breach threatens the White House in Designated Survivor’s Oct. 5 episode.
According to the latest from ABC, the episode, titled “The Confession” will see Kirkman (Kiefer Sutherland) and his staff working to keep the high-level breach under wraps before he goes live with ABC News’ Elizabeth Vargas (who is guesting as herself).
Meanwhile, the FBI continues to investigate the Capitol bombing, and Agent Hannah Wells starts to develop her own theories about who was really behind the attack.
Designated Survivor stars Kiefer Sutherland as Tom Kirkman, Natascha McElhone as Alex Kirkman, Adan Canto as Aaron Shore, Italia Ricci as Emily Rhodes, LaMonica Garrett as Mike Ritter with Kal Penn as Seth Wright and Maggie Q as Hannah Wells.
Guest Starring are Virginia Madsen as Congresswoman Kimble Hookstraten, Kevin R. McNally as Harris Cochran and Elizabeth Vargas as herself.
“The Confession” was written by Jennifer Johnson and Paul Redford. Sergio Mimca-Gezzan is the director.
It airs Wednesday Oct. 5 (10:00—11:00 p.m. EDT) on ABC.
