Here’s What You’ll Be Watching on FOX This Fall

Fall 2016 my seem a long way off just yet, but ahead of Upfronts next week, the Network has revealed its slate of new dramas and comedies for the Fall 2016-2017 Season.

Here’s what will be gracing your screens later this year:


From: 20th Century Fox TV/Morgan Creek Productions. Jeremy Slater serves as writer and Executive Producer, along with EPs James Robinson, David Robinson, Barbara Wall, and Rupert Wyatt.

The Exorcist is a serialized psychological thriller following two very different men tackling one family’s case of horrifying demonic possession and confronting the face of true evil.

Inspired by William Blatty’s original 1971 book.

Starring: Alfonso Herrera, Ben Daniels, Geena Davis, Brianne Howey, Hannah Kasulka, Kurt Egyiawan.



From: Warner Bros TV/Lin Pictures/Good Session Productions. Matt Miller serves as writer and EP along with EP Dan Lin  McG (director, EP), and Jennifer Gwartz, EP.

Texas cop and former Navy SEAL Martin Riggs suffers the loss of his wife and baby and he moves to Los Angeles to start anew. There, he gets partnered with LAPD detective Roger Murtaugh who, having recently suffered a “minor” heart attack, must avoid any stress in his life. Based on the movie franchise.

Starring:Clayne Crawford, Damon Wayans Sr., Keesha Sharp, Jordana Brewster, Kevin Rahm, Chandler Kinney, Johnathan Fernandez.



From: 20th Century Fox TV. Matt Nix serves as writer and Executive Producer, along with director and EP Len Wiseman, and EPs David Bernardi, Dennis Kim, and Todd Hoffman.

An enigmatic tech billionaire purchases a troubled police precinct in the wake of a loved one’s murder. Can this eccentric and enigmatic figure’s cutting edge approach fix the broken ways of these blue-blooded veterans?

Starring: Justin Kirk, Natalie Martinez, Caitlin Stasey, Taylor Handley, Eric Winter.


MAKING HISTORY (single camera)

From: 20th Century Fox TV. Julius Sharpe serves as writer/EP with EPs Phil Lord and Chris Miller.

Three friends find a way to travel through time for truth, justice and riches, which complicates their lives in 2016. They visit some of the greatest moments of the past as they try to resolve their personal problems, while history and pop culture comically collide.

Starring : Adam Pally, Leighton Meester, Yassir Lester.



From: 20th Century Fox TV. Dan Fogelman serves as writer/ Executive Producer along with writer/EP Rick Singer, EPsTony Bill and Helen Bartlett, and director/EP Paris Barclay.

Story follows a young female pitcher who defies the odds when she becomes the first woman to play in the major leagues.

Starring: Kylie Bunbury, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Sarah Wayne Callies, Mo McRae, Meagan Holder, Tim Jo, Ali Larter, Dan Lauria.


THE MICK (single camera)

From: 20th Century Fox TV/3 Arts. John Chernin serves as writer/Executive Producer, along with directors/EPs Dave Chernin and Randall Einhorn and EPs Oly Obst and Nicholas Frenkel.

With a fish-out-of-water theme, it centers on a hard-living, foul-mouthed woman who moves to affluent Greenwich, CT, to raise the spoiled kids of her wealthy sister who has fled the country to avoid a federal indictment. She quickly learns what the rest of us already know: Other people’s children are awful.

Starring: Kaitlin Olson, Sofia Black D’Elia, Carla Jimenez, Thomas Barbusca, Jack Stanton



From 20th Century Fox TV. Written and directed by Lee Daniels and Tom Donaghay.

The series follows three young women who form a girl group with hopes of making it big in the music industry, and the choices with which they’re faced along the way. Queen Latifah anchors the cast as Carlotta, the owner of an Atlanta beauty salon, with an amazing voice, who will become a surrogate mother to the three girls – even though she doesn’t approve of their musical dreams.

Starring: Brittany O’Grady, Queen Latifah, Ryan Destiny, and Jude Demorest.
