FOX Pickups: Kevin Williamson and Josh Berman/Robert Wright Projects Greenlit

Deadline reports that FOX announced a handful of pickups yesterday, including Kevin Williamson’s serial killer drama and Josh Berman and Robert Wright’s Mob Doctor medical drama.
Williamson’s project, currently titled ‘The Following‘ stars Kevin Bacon as ex-FBI agent Ryan Hardy, a man charged with hunting down serial killer Joe Carroll, played by James Purefoy. Carroll is no ordinary killer as his modus operandi involves creating a cult of serial killers.
The pilot was directed by Marcos Siega and co-starred Shawn Ashmore, Natalie Zea, Valorie Curry, Jeananne Goossen, Nico Tortorella, Adan Canto, Billy Brown.
Josh Berman and Rob Wright’s project, currently titled ‘The Mob Doctor‘ stars Jordana Spiro as Grace Devlin, a young woman who must walk a fine line between her career as a thoracic surgeon and her commitment to the South Chicago Mob.
The pilot was directed by Michael Dinner and co-starred Zach Gilford, William Forsythe, Wendy Makkena, James Carpinello, Jamie Lee Kirchner, Floriana Lima and Adam J Harrington.
FOX also announced three single-camera comedies – It’s Messy, Ben and Kate and The Goodwin Games.
