Almost a year and a half after the airing of its season 7 finale in August 2017, Game of Thrones has an official (read longer) trailer to go along with its previously announced return date.
The show will return to HBO on Sunday, April 14 at 9:00 pm, exclusively on HBO.
The debut date for the show’s six-episode, eighth, and final season was announced in January via an online tease (also featured below) by David Nutter, who won an Emmy in 2015 for his work on the season five finale, “Mother’s Mercy.” The tease includes an original score by Ramin Djawadi, who won an Emmy in 2018 for his score on the season seven finale, “The Dragon and the Wolf.”
However it’s the spectacular 2 minute feature below that will surely warrant the most interest based solely on the merits of its slew of new content.
