Could Game of Thrones’ Tywin Lannister Return This Season?

Thought you’d seen the last of Worst-Dad-of-the-Year Candidate Tywin Lannister? Think again, says Charles Dance.

Game of Thrones fans last saw the evil Tywin ignominiously dispatched by his son Tyrion while relieving himself on a toilet last season.

A fitting way for this character to go out? Not so fast! Dance had a thing or two to say about his offing, and a surprising reveal about what’s to come on the show next season during an interview with MTV for Dracula Untold.

“We’re trying not to have any spoilers, because there are one or two people who haven’t seen all of Game of Thrones” joked Dance, speaking about Tywin’s fate last season before agreeing that his character suffered “a suitably ignominious end.”

When asked about missing out on the next season of Game of Thrones, Dance had the following hint to toss:

“Well I’m not completely missing out on the next series. More than that I’m not going to say. You haven’t seen the last of Tywin Lannister is all I’ll say.”

Flashbacks? Joining the ranks of the undead? Your guess is as good as ours, Throne fans,

Speaking of the undead, both Dance and his on-screen daughter Lena Heady were this week announced as the most recent casting additions to Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, the in-production film version of Seth Grahame-Smith’s novel, which in case you haven’t heard of it is a Pride and Prejudice and Zombie genre mashup. (We recommend you pick up a copy!)

As yet their roles are undisclosed, but we’re fairly sure we’ll keep referring to them as the dysfunctional Lannisters. (FYI, Former Doctor Who star Matt Smith was revealed to be playing PAPAZ’s wife-seeking Mr Collins earlier this week.)

More as we have it.
