GAME OF THRONES and WESTWORLD Absent From Comic Con for 2018

Disappointing news for those headed to Comic Con in San Diego this year.

Two of the most buzzed about shows — Game of Thrones and Westworld — will be notably absent in 2018.

The news comes exclusively from HBO, who cite tight production schedules for both shows as the reasoning behind the decision to cancel their respective appearances this year.

“Due to production schedules and air dates for Game of Thrones and Westworld, these series will not be presented at San Diego Comic-Con this summer,” said the cabler in a statement today.  “HBO has a longstanding relationship with SDCC, and we are very grateful for the fans’ enthusiastic response over the years. We look forward to returning in the future.”

And although you may not get the opportunity to see Jon and Daenerys or Dolores and Teddy in 2018, ScreenSpy will be on the front lines reporting from the press rooms, panels and convention floor, as usual. Hope to see you there!
