Whether you're single, loved up, or somewhere in between, Valentine's day offers every TV aficionado at least one episode per year in which to see their favorite couples in a more romantic setting.
A series of Valentine's themed episodes have been playing out over just about every Network this week, but none of the offerings come close to what NBC's Grimm has in store for its fans this Friday.
This week, the gang will head off for a beautiful weekend getaway, partly to celebrate Monroe's birthday, and partly to celebrate their enduring friendship.
And if you're thinking 'birthday weekend' doesn't exactly scream romance, don't worry there are moments to warm the heart of just about every shipper.
Fans who tune in will get to witness the timeless love between Adalind and Monroe, Eve and Nick and of course Nick and Rosalee. Then there's Monroe and Eve, and let's not even get started on Hank and Wu.
That's right. Friday's "Blind Love" will see our favorite characters in a whole new light. Better buckle up because this is going to be one weird and wacky ride.
We've seen the episode a little early, thanks to our friends at NBC, and have a collection of tidbits and teasers to share with you below. As always we avoid outright spoilers and reveals that would ruin your experience of the episode, but we urge you to take a little caution anyway. One man's teaser is another man's spoiler as the old saying we just made up goes.
Sailing in Uncharted Waters
As #Nadalind shippers here at ScreenSpy, we occasionally worry that the show’s creators plan to secretly patch the sunken ship that is Nick and Eve by the series’ end in a dramatic turnaround that will restore the show’s original vision for this pair. Which, by the way, is something we really really hope doesn’t come to pass.
With no knowledge or foresight about where the show will take Nick and Adalind, all we can do is take each episode as it comes and enjoy this couple’s crazy and ever changing journey, in the hope that all of the characters will end up in a happy place in the end.
However that doesn’t prevent us from enjoying a temporary ‘twisted ship’ every now and again, and we suspect, the Grimm writers do too.
While filled with enough #Nadalind moments to make even the most ardent Nick and Adalind shipper happy, this week’s episode will see just about everyone falling for the wrong person.
Imagine the sparks that might fly if Eve made a bold play for Nick’s affections once again? Adalind might mind, if only she weren’t so hung up on Monroe, and if Nick weren’t so crazy about Rosalee.
This week everyone ships everyone and it’s all good. Our suggestion? Sit back and watch the sparks fly.
