Following on from CBS’ first look trailer for upcoming Fall drama Intelligence comes a new extended four minute clip without any behind the scenes commentary – meaning more footage from the first episode. The clip delves into the history behind Josh Holloway’s Gabriel or ‘Advanced Intelligence Agent’ as the agency refers to him, as well as revealing some new plot details on the pilot episode.
‘We connected a human being directly to the information grid,” explains Gabriel’s boss Lillian Strand (CSI’s Marg Helenberger) “Internet, telephone, satellite.” We agree. It is a great party trick.
“All the intel I have access to, I can see it.” explains Gabriel. “Like a virtual evidence wall.”The chip processes it like a computer, but my brain metabolizes it … like a brain!”
The pilot episode guest stars John Billingsley (Enterprise) as Cassidy, a gifted neuroscientist who has been kidnapped by Chinese opportunists, who, in an attempt to replicate the chip in Gabriel’s body, try to coerce him to integrate a second untested device into a new test subject. As it happens, the Doc is a father-figure to Gabriel, who is determined to mount a rescue operation, despite his Strand’s reservations. But as Gabriel argues “This thing in my head may be valuable but you don’t want it sitting in a hangar.”
Once Upon a Time’s Meghan Ory also stars as Riley, the agent assigned to protect the chip … and the man containing it. Expect the zingers between smart and sexy Riley and the cocky and irreverent Gabriel to fly.
