LUCIFER: Exclusive Scoop on the Spring Premiere

Lucifer is back.
Following a brief hiatus Lucifer returns to FOX on Monday, offering an episode that sees the horned one attempting to dive back into his role as assistant to the LAPD as if nothing had happened.
However in his absence hearts have hardened, and Lucifer discovers that regaining Chloe Decker’s trust is now an almost impossible task. The situation is further exacerbated by a new woman in Lucifer’s life, whom he casually introduces as Candy Morningstar.
While Chloe goes solo on a new investigation, Charlotte uses her son’s return as an opportunity to invite him to assist her in her latest plan to get back to Heaven, and Amenadiel challenges Lucifer on his recent actions.
We’ve seen the episode a little early, thanks to our friends at FOX, and have a collection of teasers for you below.
As always, we avoid outright spoilers and plot point reveals that might ruin things a bit, but we suggest proceeding with caution anyway, as one man’s teaser is another man’s spoiler, as the old saying we just made up goes.
In case any recapping is needed, the pre-credits from Monday’s spring premiere of Lucifer feature the following reminder about the horned one’s state of mind following the discovery that his father ‘planted’ Chloe Decker in his life as part of some cosmic joke.
“How can I trust anyone, anything, now that I know he is behind it?”
“You can trust me,” pipes up Mum.
“Can I mum? You’re as bad as he is! I’m tired of being a pawn. I’m done.”
Fast forward a couple of weeks, and Lucifer is still AWOL following Chloe’s dramatic 11th hour save. So is Lucifer truly done? Well, obviously not, or there would be no show. So what’s really going on?
While Maze is adamant that Lucifer is biding his time until he can roll up and dole out some extravagant revenge against his mother, Charlotte, always one step ahead is already laying the groundwork for a little revenge of her own.
The only thing is, Lucifer is a key part of that plan, and he’s nowhere to be found. When he does turn up he will be faced with an interesting quandary. Who does he hate more? Mum or Dad?
