Thank Dad! It seems someone up above has heard the prayers of angry Lucifans everywhere.
Lucifer has officially been snapped up by Netflix, and will return for a fourth season.
Although the streamer hasn’t yet announced an episode count, an initial ten episode pickup has been strongly hinted at (read confirmed by sources).
Tom Ellis was vocal following the show’s surprise cancellation following a major cliffhanger last month and hinted during subsequent interviews that talks were underway with a couple of “promising sources.”
Ellis noted that the #SaveLucifer campaign, which continued to grow in the following weeks, was “nothing short of ridiculously overwhelming.”
He added “Since doing Lucifer, I’ve done press in various parts of the world, and I’m fully aware that this show is much more popular than what it had seemed to be on Fox… So I’m not surprised about people being angry. I just wasn’t ready this tsunami of love that came with it.”
The show went out on a major cliffhanger that saw Lucifer finally reveal (unwittingly) his devil face to Chloe in the final moments.
