It's a case of bad timing and crushed feelings when Lucifer makes an unscheduled solo return to Las Vegas on Chloe's birthday in tonight's episode of Lucifer.
The action kicks off when Lucifer (Tom Ellis) discovers his ex-fake-wife, Candy (guest star Lindsay Gort), has gone missing, and is now presumed dead. Maybe.
He he hightails it to Las Vegas with Ella (Aimee Garcia) in tow, where the pair work together to unravel the mystery of Candy's disappearance, and attempt to find out who might want her dead.
However the trip soon brings up memories of Lucifer's last trip to Vegas -- both for him and for Chloe (Lauren German), and as the pair spend Chloe's birthday apart, they each attempt to identify and resolve their complicated feelings for the other, with rather touching results.
We've seen the episode a little early, thanks to our friends at FOX, and have a number of teasers for you.
As usual, we avoid posting direct spoilers, plot point reveals and other things that might ruin your experience of the live episode. That said, we're aware that one man's gentle teaser is another's great big flaming spoiler, so for that reason we urge you to proceed with a touch of caution.
Lucifer and the Morning Stars
It’s not truly an episode of Lucifer without Tom Ellis at the piano.
This week, we’ll see Mr Ellis not only tinkling the ivories, but singing and dancing in true Las Vegas style as he takes to the stage with his troop — Lucifer and the Morning Stars. It’s all to catch a killer of course, but the 1950’s style glitz, Lucifer’s iconic Hollywood look, the feather boas and the big band sound might just make you forget that detail.
As for the song? It’s Frank Sinatra’s ‘Luck be a Lady’ of course.
