NBC's Timeless rounds out its ten episode second season on May 13 with two back to back installments that take the team from South Carolina in 1863 to Chinatown in 1888 for an explosive, heartbreaking and jaw dropping conclusion, that should the series continue to a third season, will change the landscape of the narrative dramatically.
The action kicks off when Rittenhouse attempts to alter the outcome of the American Civil War by providing one of their own with a modern day military encyclopedia (and a cheeseburger) outlining all key campaigns in the war. In the wrong hands, Union spy and military leader, Harriet Tubman – AKA “The General," would be unable to persuade freed plantation slaves to join her cause, placing the outcome of the war in jeopardy.
Meanwhile in hour two, Jiya finds herself trapped in San Francisco's Chinatown in 1888, not only unable, but unwilling to return home.
We've seen the finale episodes a little early, thanks to our friends at NBC, and have a number of teasers to share with you. As always, we never reveal major plot points or character developments that might ruin your enjoyment of the live episodes.
That said, so what you will read below falls into the ‘teaser’ rather than the ‘spoiler’ category. However, we suggest a modicum of caution proportionate to your feelings on spoilers in general. Clock Blocked (With a Silent L)
While we’ve all been busy watching the love triangle that is Lucy, Wyatt and Jessica unfold over the season, the tenuous relationship that is Lucy and Flynn has also been quietly blossoming under our very noses.
And while we’ve seen Flynn constantly interrupting Wyatt as he struggles to find his feet with Lucy post Jessica’s return, the finale will see Wyatt, for once, interrupting Flynn’s confession to Lucy at a tender moment.
However, when one man sees a special moment between Lucy and the other, he decides to be the bigger man and walk away.
Expect an ‘I love you,’ guys.
