The BBC has released a promo trailer for the upcoming eighth episode, Lamia.

When a mystery illness brings Merlin to a distant village it soon becomes clear that there is something more sinister afoot. Far from home and alone, Merlin becomes caught up in a deadly game of cat and mouse. Who is the hunter? Who is the hunted? Can Merlin stay alive long enough to find out?
