SUITS Mid-Season Premiere: Who’s Getting Fired? Who’s Going to Jail?

Suits fans, the long wait is over. The sharply written legal drama returns to our screens tonight, picking up the pieces after Mike’s arrest, an act made all the more shocking by our knowledge that Mike is guilty as charged.

While Mike faces charges too numerous to count (along with 66 years in jail) Jessica, Donna, Louis, Rachel and of course Harvey put their heads together not only to figure out a way to free him, but to find the person responsible for outing him to the authorities.

Meanwhile, both Mike and Rachel face the wrath of Robert Zane, and Jack Soloff looks for a way to permanently profit from the firm’s latest weakness.

We’ve seen the premiere episode “Blowback” a little early and have a number of teasers to share. As always, we don’t reveal major spoilers (you won’t find out who outed Mike here) or plot points that might otherwise ruin your enjoyment of the episode. We want you to enjoy it as much as we did. For that reason, we consider our list to be teasers over spoilers. However, we urge you to exercise your usual degree of caution because it’s the internet, a strange and unpredictable place where weird things occasionally happen, despite good intentions.

Meet Anita Gibbs – an Actual Real Attorney

Meet Anita Gibbs, Assistant US Attorney and chief prosecutor in Mike’s fraud case. Gibbs is the first person a distraught and frightened Mike meets following his surprise arrest in the mid-season finale.

If her opening salvo of “Unlike you, I’m a real attorney,” doesn’t grind your gears, then her devastating follow up “I just wanted you to know I’m the one who’s going to put you in jail,” will certainly help put her character into perspective. As you will see over the course of the season ahead Gibbs will do anything to win.

It looks like Mike and Harvey are facing their toughest case yet. Their first hurdle may be to realize it.
