
The CW’s long running Supernatural will end with season 15, it was confirmed today.
The news came via a video tweet from series stars Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins who thanked both fans, and series creator Eric Kripke, for their investment in the series. The trio expressed excitement over the upcoming 15th season, but also sadness at the show’s eventual demise.

“Firstly, we would like to thank all the people who have been involved with the show both in front of and behind the camera,” executive producer Robert Singer and Andrew Dabb added to the announcement news in a statement today.
“For us, it has been an experience of a lifetime. The support we have had from both Warner Bros Television and The CW has been incredible. We’d like to give special thanks to Jensen [Ackles], Jared [Padalecki] and Misha [Collins] for making this journey so special. It is now most important to us to give these characters that we love the send off they deserve.”
The final season wiis set to comprise 20 new episodes.
