TAKEN “Ready” Sneak Peeks

If we’re being honest, we quite liked Clive Standen in NBC’s Taken pilot. Standen’s younger and hungrier Bryan Mills also lent plenty of room for some raw vulnerability, confusion and indecision — qualities we didn’t see a whole lot of in Liam Neeson’s iconic and assured take on the character.
While the pilot saw Bryan return to his family home for his sister’s funeral, it wasn’t long before he found himself embroiled in the revenge plot of cartel boss Carlos Mejia (Louis Ferreira), and a tight-knit group of CIA operatives shadowing Mejia’s every move.
By the episode’s end, Mejia had been apprehended (denying Bryan his shot at revenge) and Bryan was drawn into a career as a deadly CIA operative, a job that awakens his very particular, and very dangerous, set of skills. (NBC tells us that in 30 years, this character is destined to become the Bryan Mills that we’ve come to love from the Taken films, and we don’t disagree.)
March 6th’s second outing “Ready” will see Bryan getting his first chance to go into the field. However when the mission goes bust, a tragic death follows.
We’ll also see the team uncover a group of government officials skimming off of refugee funds, which leads Christina (Jennifer Beals) to reconnect with a long lost love.
Meanwhile, Asha (Brooklyn Sudano) shows up unexpectedly at Bryan’s doorstep. Coincidence?
We’ve got 4 sneak peek clips to share from “Ready” below.
Taken continues Monday, March 6 at 10:00 pm on NBC.
