Last week’s episode of The Blacklist took fans by surprise with a heartbreaking end to Samar’s (Mozhan Marnò) storyline.
Facing repeated assassination attempts from her former employers over her future likelihood to reveal Mossad secrets (as a result of her dementia), Samar made the stunning decision to leave the Task Force — and Aram (Amir Arison) — without letting anyone know of her whereabouts.
Anyone but Red (James Spader), that is, who helped his former friend make good on her escape in his private jet.
Samar’s actions, and Red’s refusal to say exactly where Samar’s journey ultimately took her, devastated the mild mannered IT expert, who in tonight’s episode, “Olivia Olson,” is busy searching ways to gain leverage over Red in an attempt to force him to reveal her whereabouts.
Just how far is Aram willing to go? How about stealing Red’s ill-gotten Luxembourg booty from a couple of episodes ago (to the tune of 60 million!).
“You’ve made a terrible mistake, Aram,” Red warns him, and we get the feeling if this had been anyone but Aram, there wouldn’t even be the courtesy of a conversation.
However this time Aram bites back.
“You’ve taken something previous from me. Now I’ve taken something precious from you,” he shoots back.

NBC teases that the episode will see the Task Force looking for a woman who specializes in hostile takeovers of criminal organizations, and may have intelligence connected to an international conspiracy involving presidential advisor Anna McMahon (guest star Jennifer Ferrin).
The “Olivia Olson” episode of The Blacklist airs Friday, April 5 (09:00PM – 10:00PM) on NBC.
