THE RESIDENT Fall Finale Sneak Peek: Conrad’s Surprise Patient

The Resident is about to wrap up for the year (don’t worry, the show officially returns on Jan. 14 as part of Fox’s mid-season schedule) with tonight’s “The Dance,” and while we’re intrigued to learn the episode will see Devon’s doubts about his relationship reach a peak as his friends and family gather for his big wedding day, we’re more intrigued (sorry, Devon) about the contents of this new sneak peek clip featuring Conrad’s latest patient — in the form of his own father.
That’s right, Marshall Winthrop, Chastain’s Board Chairman is about to become a patient at the same hospital he oversees, suffering from a flare-up of his Crohn’s disease. We all knew about that right?
To make matters worse, Marshall insists on being shipped to Atlanta General, despite how that vote of no confidence might look to the public.
But as Conrad complains his father tells him nothing, Nic sees a strong similarity between father and son, and isn’t afraid to point it out.
What else can fans expect in tonight’s mid-season finale? Fox teases that “As Chastain’s leading medical device company, Quovadis, continues to succeed, Julian (guest star Jenna Dewan) makes a discovery that leaves her uneasy about her involvement in it all. Meanwhile, Conrad continues to work on his relationship with Marshall and Bell takes a risky offer in order to make a mistake from his past disappear.”
The series stars Matt Czuchry as Conrad Hawkins, Bruce Greenwood as Dr. Randolph Bell, Emily VanCamp as Nicolette, Manish Dayal as Devon Pravesh, Shaunette Renée Wilson as Mina Okafor, Malcolm-Jamal Warner as Dr. AJ Austin, Jane Leeves as Dr. Kit Voss and Glenn Morshower as Marshall Winthrop.
The Resident wraps tonight, Monday, Nov. 26 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on Fox, with “The Dance.”
