THIS IS US Clip: Kevin Pops a Question in “The Last Seven Weeks”

Kevin has so many questions in this new sneak peek clip from tonight’s return episode of This is Us, and frankly so do we.
When we last checked in on this particular Pearson sibling, he had just discovered that his uncle Nicky had not in fact died in Vietnam, as his father believed. (So what happened with that exploding boat?)
In fact, unbeknownst to Kevin and the rest of the Pearson clan, Nicky is alive and living in a trailer in Bradford, Penn., in what seems very much like the present-day. That’s literally a few hours drive from his family, guys. Does he know anything about them? Does he want to?
In the following clip an exhausted Kevin and Zoe return from their trip, and predictably Kevin now has more questions than he had when he started out. However, when Zoe slips up and refers to his loft as “Home” Kevin takes advantage of the situation to throw a big question her way — with a little help from John Stamos.
Catch it in full below.
NBC’s notoriously brief loglines for this week’s episode tease “Randall’s campaign comes to a close. Kevin meets someone from Zoe’s past. Kate and Toby get ready for the baby.”
We’re guessing that Kevin’s offer and the appearance of someone from her past (her abusive father, perhaps?) might stir up some unpleasant memories from Zoe’s past.
“The Last Seven Weeks” airs Tuesday, Jan. 15 (09:00PM – 10:01PM) on NBC.
