Sunday’s next episode of Timeless sees the Time Team heading Washington D.C. in 1981, on the fateful day John Hinckley penned his famous confession to actress Jodie Foster, before attempting to take out President Ronald Reagan, in the manner of Robert De Niro’s Travis Bickle from Taxi Driver.
And although you won’t see Foster or De Niro this week, you will see a rookie police officer on the scene by the name of Denise Christopher, whose actions in the aftermath of the shooting will determine whether the Lifeboat and the Time Team end up in Rittenhouse’s hands in the future, or not.
No pressure guys! It’s just the fate of humanity at stake.
We’ve seen the episode a little early, thanks to our friends at NBC, and have a number of teasers to share with you.
As always, we never divulge major plot points or character reveals that would spoil your enjoyment of the live episode. That said, we suggest a modicum of caution proportionate to your feelings on spoilers in general.

Rufus’ Bad Week
If you thought things were all squared away between Rufus and Jiya then you may have to guess again, Timeless fans. This week, Rufus will be accused by Lucy of “brooding like a Real Housewife” following yet another spat with Jiya over his fate.
It seems Rufus is fully onboard with the inevitability of his own death, so much so, he warmly welcomes Jiya’s inclusion in the Lifeboat this week, with the reasoning “We’ll need a new pilot when I’m dead.”
You’d better pace yourself Rufus, because it’s going to be an emotional trip.
