Sunday's next episode of Timeless sees the Time Team heading Washington D.C. in 1981, on the fateful day John Hinckley penned his famous confession to actress Jodie Foster, before attempting to take out President Ronald Reagan, in the manner of Robert De Niro's Travis Bickle from Taxi Driver.
And although you won't see Foster or De Niro this week, you will see a rookie police officer on the scene by the name of Denise Christopher, whose actions in the aftermath of the shooting will determine whether the Lifeboat and the Time Team end up in Rittenhouse's hands in the future, or not.
No pressure guys! It's just the fate of humanity at stake.
We've seen the episode a little early, thanks to our friends at NBC, and have a number of teasers to share with you.
As always, we never divulge major plot points or character reveals that would spoil your enjoyment of the live episode. That said, we suggest a modicum of caution proportionate to your feelings on spoilers in general.

3 More Minutes
Rufus is not the only one who feels like he’s living on borrowed time.
Agent Christopher faces her own mortality this week too, when it is discovered that a Rittenhouse agent is using Ronald Reagan’s assassination attempt to try to take out her younger self.
While Christopher struggles with the best way to handle what might be her last moments (both in the past and the present) Flynn offers some unexpected advice.
Ok, honestly? We’re starting to crush on this guy at this point.
