TIMELESS Scoop: Alliances, Epiphanies & Rock n’ Roll in “King of the Delta Blues”

BY Jennifer Griffin

Published 4 years ago

This week’s episode has it all — action, relationship drama, personal epiphanies, and the Godfather of Rock n’ Roll.

April 22nd’s Timeless will see things getting crowded (and giggly!) in the Lifeboat following the installation of a fourth seat.

For the first time ever, Connor Mason (Paterson Joseph) will join the team as they travel to Texas in November of 1936 to save the “life and legacy of Robert Johnson (guest star Kamahl Naiqui) ā€“ King of the Delta Blues, Godfather of Rock nā€™ Roll and a man who, legend has it, bought his musical genius from the Devil for the price of his soul.”

We have shivers already.

Meanwhile, Agent Christopher (Sakina Jaffrey) decides against sending Wyatt (Matt Lanter) along for the ride(!!) so that he can take point on a secret raid on Rittenhouse’s HQ.

We’ve seen the episode a little early, thanks to our friends at NBC, and have a number of teasers to share with you. As always, we avoid major plot-point reveals and character moments that would potentially ruin the live experience for you. That said, we urge you to proceed with a little caution anyway, as one person’s gentle teaser is another’s great big flaming spoiler, depending on your mindset. (If you’d like to know more about our Spoiler Policy, just follow the link in this sentence for details.)

A Crisis of Faith

Oh dear. This funk is catching! It seem Lucy is not the only one with the blues this week. Connor Mason is feeling decidedly dejected too. The former Mason Industries chief — and reluctant Rittenhouse stooge — is about to lose control of his company and all its assets, and there’s not a thing he can do about it. Or is there?

As a famous person once said “When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.” or whatever. Don’t quote us directly on that one. For Connor, a change of scene (via the Lifeboat) is just what he needs to lend a fresh perspective.
