TIMELESS Scoop: Lucy Makes a Personal Stand in “The Salem Witch Hunt”

Did Timeless rock your world on Sunday night?

“Hollywood Land,” an episode set in the suitably glamorous and romantic setting of 1940’s Los Angeles, saw Wyatt and Lucy finally getting together (and then some!) while shacking up at Hedy Lamarr’s place, during their quest to track down Orson Welles’ lost film footage. (Now there’s a sentence you never imagined you’d one day read.)

However, Timeless fans weren’t celebrating this couple’s union for very long, as a final twist in a mostly playful hour saw the return of Wyatt’s until-just-literally-now dead wife, Jessica, from the grave.

Next week, Wyatt attempts to get to the bottom of Jessica’s shock resurrection while Lucy, Rufus and Flynn chase the Mothership to Salem, 1692, at the height of the witch trials.

There they must prevent the execution of a headstrong young woman (guest star Sofia Vassilieva) who, as it turns out, is mother to one of the most consequential Americans of all time – the yet to be born Benjamin Franklin. You know, that guy who said it was ok to criticise your government?

We’ve seen the episode a little early, thanks to our friends at NBC, and have a number of teasers to share with you below. As always, we avoid major plot-point reveals that would spoil your enjoyment of the live episode. That said, the spoilerphobes among you may want to exercise some caution.

Catching Up on Old Times

Creepy Rittenhouse mastermind Nicholas Keanes has been busy, guys.

The season premiere introduced us to a man who was keen to eschew modern technology. (He even went as far as to print out all of Wikipedia.) However, next week, Keanes is finally rolling with the times — eating tacos, listening to rock music, working out, and pondering why women started wearing trousers.

So yes, he’s basically still creepy then.

But with a little pushing from the devious Emma, he’s now starting to wonder exactly why Lucy has been given so much leeway until now.

It’s nothing Lucy’s mom Carol can’t handle though. Right?
