A Timely Reminder
Pardon the pun, but this week’s episode kind of left us with a tear in our eye.
Events are centered on the women’s suffrage movement and the show doesn’t shy away from depicting the sheer struggle these women endured in the face of deep misogyny and police brutality.
We usually don’t spoil dialogue, but we’ll make an exception for this line, shouted from the crowd during a tense moment.
“It’s we the people, not we the white male citizens!”
Sing it, sister.
