TURN: Washington’s Spies Introduces New Characters For Season Two

One of our favorite summer shows, TURN: Washington’s Spies returns to AMC today.
The series follows Abraham Woodhull (Jamie Bell) and a group of his childhood friends (Caleb Brewster, played by Daniel Henshall, and Anna Strong, played by Heather Lind) who together form the Culper Ring – later known as America’s first spy ring – during the upheaval of the American Revolutionary war.
As season one ended, Abe was forced to burn his own home to the ground to cover up the murder of a British soldier who discovered he was a spy.
The new season picks up where viewers left off, with Washington’s Army and the Patriot cause having suffered a major defeat at the hands of the British at Philadelphia.
Washington’s army faces desertion and death, and the embattled General faces conspirators from within his own ranks, as well as personal demons he keeps hidden from the men he leads.
Washington’s closest ally in these dark times is also his most celebrated battle commander, Benedict Arnold – a friend whose growing discontent will threaten the fate of the Revolution.
Outnumbered and outgunned on the battlefield, Washington is counting on his ring of young spies and his greatest hope, Abe Woodhull, a lone civilian deep behind enemy lines, who finds he has little left to lose and is willing to risk everything he has left… including his soul.
We’ve got a new video featurette to share with you spotlighting some of the new characters joining the ranks this season.
Catch TURN’s 2 hour season premiere Monday April 13 on AMC.
