Dolores and William Face a Treacherous Journey on HBO’s WESTWORLD

Fresh photos from Westworld’s next episode have been sent our way from HBO just now, with the promise of more following Sunday’s airing.

“Trompe L’Oeil” will see Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) and William (Jimmi Simpson) journey into treacherous terrain, as they run from Logan and his vicious captors, and seek answers about the Maze.

Meanwhile, with Maeve (Thandie Newton) now fully conscious, her next course of action is to deliver a special ultimatum. (We can’t help wonder if it might somehow relate to the lost child she glimpsed in the Westworld video advertisement?)

And back in the lab, with the news that former lover Theresa Cullen (Sidse Babett Knudsen) may be involved in corporate espionage, Bernard (Jeffrey Wright) is forced to consider his next move carefully.

We’ve been having fun with some recent episode titles. This week’s “Trompe L’Oeil,” referencing a design cleverly intended to create a visual illusion, seems to point to the park’s varied hosts, but it could also be a clue about the entrance to the Maze, or even point towards Maeve’s pretense at playing Sweetwater’s local Madam while secretly plotting her next ‘real world’ move.

If you’re looking for some deeper analysis (and new theories to stir the pot) on last Sunday’s “The Adversary” check our article link above.

Meanwhile, catch our gallery below, and don’t forget to come back on Monday for the latest post-show additions.

The “Trompe L’Oeil” episode of Westworld airs Sunday November 13 (9:00-10:00 p.m.) on HBO.
