WESTWORLD Season 3: Pink Floyd, Aaron Paul, and Life Outside the Park

What is going on in this new teaser trailer from Season 3 of HBO’s Westworld?
We’re not sure, but it’s unlike anything we’ve seen in the show’s previous Western and Shogun-themed worlds.
Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul, a series regular in the show’s upcoming season, features in the voiceover as a man feeling deeply disconnected from his own reality — a man who realises he will need to find a deeper connection to something or someone real if he hopes to survive.
Is he a host, like Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) and co.? It seems unlikely, but it’s interesting to note that the person who crosses his path during his crisis of faith just happens to be Dolores herself.
While it’s clear Dolores is still a woman on a mission following her experiences at the park, the trailer seems to hint she may need some help at least in a strange and unfamiliar world.
The moody trailer is set, perfectly, to Pink Floyd’s 1973 “Brain Damage,” a song famously lamenting humanity’s disconnection and disenchantment with the modern world.
Also featured in the tease are Lena Waithe, Scott Mescudi, and Marshawn Lynch.
Westworld returns 2020.
Westworld is a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the birth of a new form of life on Earth.
The series is created for television and executive produced by Jonathan Nolan & Lisa Joy; executive producers, J.J. Abrams, Athena Wickham, Richard J. Lewis, and Ben Stephenson.
