Angelina Jolie On Brad Pitt Divorce: 'I Don't Enjoy Being Single'

Life is indeed not the same for Angelina Jolie.  The 42-year-old actress truly knows how difficult one’s life becomes after being married to someone for a long time and having to separate due to heavy issues in a relationship. In a recent interview with Telegraph, the actress bares it all following her divorce with actor Brad Pitt.

Jolie was busy promoting her new directorial effort, “First They Killed My Father,” and got pretty all-out. “I don’t enjoy being single,” Jolie said. “It’s not something I wanted. There’s nothing nice about it. It’s just hard. Sometimes maybe it appears I am pulling it all together, but really I am just trying to get through my days.”

How The Brad Pitt Split Affects Angelina Jolie’s Health

Jolie and Pitt first met on the set of “Mr. & Mrs. Smith,” and were together for 12 years. The Hollywood power couple then split in September 2016 and since then life hasn’t been easy for Jolie. “Emotionally, it’s been a very difficult year,” she added. “I have had some other health issues. So my health is something I have to monitor.”

Back in 2013, the actress had a preventive double mastectomy. In 2015, she had both of her ovaries removed. And during the same time last year, Jolie had a case of hypertension and Bell’s palsy, which is caused by damaged facial nerves, causing the actress’ face to droop.

But despite everything that she’s going through, Jolie stays strong in the midst of it through the help of her six children. “We tend to get so stressed that our children feel our stress when they need to feel our joy,” Jolie said. “Even if you are going through chemo, you need to find the ability to love and laugh. It may sound like a postcard, but it’s true.”

“I think we lose our way a bit. I have had a lot happen in my life, from certain people passing to health issues to raising the children,” Jolie said. “And it’s been a very good time to absorb and develop and grow. But maybe now that my kids are growing up I am starting to realize that my own sense of play has been put on hold for a while. And maybe them hitting their teens is going to bring out a little more fun in mom.”

Will ‘Brangelina’ Be a Thing Again?

In August, it was reported that Brad Pitt wanted to put a stop on the divorce. The divorce was reportedly not moving forward, and that the couple is trying to see what happens as they take a breather. Pitt is apparently making amends with Jolie so he could come back to his family. However, another source told E! News that the couple isn’t getting back together as they are both focusing on their children and getting along after the divorce.
