BTS New Album ‘Love Yourself: Her’ Aims For Billboard Hot 100

BTS aims high with their newly released album “Love Yourself: Her” and an unveiling of a new music video, “DNA.”
In a press conference in Seoul, the members of the popular K-pop group stated their wish to enter the United States’ Billboard Hot 100. If their booming popularity is any indication, the top music chart is definitely within their reach. BTS recently enjoyed international attention with their song Best of Me, a collaboration with The Chainsmokers. In another show of their star-power, preorders of Love Yourself: Her also exceeded 1.2 million copies on Monday.
BTS member Suga spoke up on their desire to enter the Hot 100. He acknowledged the difficulty of the challenge but still expressed hope that they would meet it. “Whenever we’re asked about our goals, we say that we want to enter the Hot 100. But a lot of albums have to be sold and our music has to be streamed a lot,” Suga said.
He added however that U.S. radio stations are showing interest in the group. “We’re also selling quite a bit, and many people have their hopes and interests up,” he said.

Love Yourself: Her Mini-Album

According to BTS, the mini-album is just the first in a “Love Yourself” series that will start releasing in 2018. Each release focuses on a different theme. BTS member Rap Monster explained that Love Yourself: Her particularly goes into the importance of self-love.
“We are living in an age where people can learn immediately how others live through social media. But time spent reflecting on ourselves is decreasing. We thought that learning to love ourselves can be the answer to many of things in life,” Rap Monster said.
“Love Yourself: Her” features 11 new tracks, including the lead song DNA and Best of Me, their collaboration with The Chainsmokers. Check out DNA below.
