Fergie and Josh Duhamel Splits Up After 8-Year Marriage

Singer Fergie and actor Josh Duhamel have called quits after being together for 13 years and being married for 8 years. The former couple released a statement to People and said that “we are and will always be united.” Fergie and Duhamel revealed that they split earlier this year and decided to wait a little longer before sharing it with the public.
“With absolute love and respect, we decided to separate as a couple earlier this year,” the statement said. “To give our family the best opportunity to adjust, we wanted to keep this a private matter before sharing it with the public. We are and will always be united in our support of each other and our family.”

The former couple also has a four-year-old son named Axl. It’s unclear when the couple split exactly and the reason of the separation. However, back in June, Duhamel told Insider that they are both very committed to each other and making things work for their marriage.
“We just have a lot of fun together and we really like each other and we’ve got that little boy that we just adore,” Duhamel said. “She does her thing professionally and I do my thing professionally and what we have at home is our own little private life.”

How Fergie and Josh Duhamel met

The couple has been together since 2004 and were married in 2009. When asked about how they met, the “Transformers” actor said that he set up an appearance on his show, “Las Vegas” for the Black Eyed Peas, Fergie’s former group. Duhamel wanted to meet her so bad that he talked to the producers of the show if they can get the group an appearance. They did eventually.
While Fergie and Duhamel haven’t been spotted together recently, the couple and their son looked like a happy bunch when they celebrated their marriage back in January of this year.
