Jamie Dornan Finally Addresses Romance Rumors With Dakota Johnson

It’s a known fact that the friendship between Jaime Dornan and Dakota Johnson definitely helped them out especially while filming scenes for the “Fifty Shades” franchise. And despite Dornan being married to Amelia Warner, many fans are still pushing for a hidden romance between him and Johnson to be true. Despite these rumors, the “Fifty Shades Darker” has finally broken his silence and decided to address the issue.

Jaime Dornan On Dating Rumors With Dakota Johnson

The chemistry between Christian Grey (Dornan) and Anastasia Steele (Johnson) is undeniably close to perfection. Once you hear both names, both Dornan and Johnson would come to mind right away. Their portrayal seems so realistic that viewers started to speculate about an off-cam relationship between the two actors. However, both of them have repeatedly denied the rumors and stressed that they are both really good friends.

Speaking to Celebeat, Dornan finally put an end to all rumors from here on. “If you Googled me now, it would probably say I dated her,” Dornan said. “About 80 percent of the people I’m said to have dated, I haven’t.” Turns out, the actor might be so used to being linked to other women, including Johnson.

Dornan also shared that before Johnson, he was also previously rumored to be going out with a supermodel that he reportedly met only once. A friend also came up to him at one time and asked if he was dating Kate Moss.

A “Protective” Relationship Based On Trust

Apparently for Dornan, these dating rumors have been going on for so long that he’s become immune to them. In an interview with Express UK, Dornan even shares about the comfortable relationship that he has with Johnson while filming for the “Fifty Shades” Franchise.

“The great thing about Dakota is only she knows what I’m going through, and only I know what she’s going through,” Dornan says. “We both really need each-other through this process because there’s days where it’s not that easy and a lot’s been asked for us.”

Johnson then talks about how she and Dornan have this trust around each other that ultimately makes them be protective with each other.

“We have this friendship that we built around trusting each other. We got to know each other based around the fact that I needed him to be protective of me. I needed him to be able to tell when I’m uncomfortable and when things are too heightened and too emotional.”
