Kim Kardashian Apologizes For Drama Involving Makeup Artist Jeffrey Star

On August 15, Kim Kardashian apologized to her fans for telling everyone to “get over” makeup artist Jeffree Star’s racist comments from the past. She said that she feels naive for “defending a situation” that she really “didn’t know enough about.” She explained her side in full detail in two videos via Snapchat.
The issue began when Jeffree criticized Kim Kardashian’s new KKW Beauty makeup swatches, Billboard says. Star retweeted Kim K’s video promoting her product saying, “Kim what is going on with those new swatches?? Looks like chalk.” Kim Kardashian’s fans began to attack Jeffree via social media. Kim intervened and uploaded a series of videos asking her fans to stop the negativity. She also said, “Love you, Jeffree… I do not defend people who are racist, and I’m very against it. If someone claims they’ve changed, I’d love to give them the benefit of the doubt. Enough, just don’t bring it up anymore.” This made the issue even more complicated.
Kim Kardashian Criticized For Defending Jeffree Starr’s Racist Past
Kim K’s fans called her out for defending Jeffrey’s racist comments in the past. Within a few hours, she then posted two videos via Snapchat apologizing to her fans regarding her comments about the makeup artist. She felt “a bit naive” so she says sorry for “feeling as if (she) had the right to say, “Get over” in a situation that involves racism.”
Kim wants the negativity to stop
Kim stresses that she has always been about positivity and she has never been a negative person. She wants to move on from this situation and wants to get the negativity off her timeline. She ends by saying that she always have hope that people change and people become better. “Never give up hope,” is what she truly believes in.
