Lil Wayne Suffers Seizures, Daughter Comments On His Hospitalization

Reginae Carter, Lil Wayne’s daughter, posted an update yesterday on her father’s condition on Twitter. She assured fans that he was doing fine and thanked them for their concern. Then she also tweeted a follow-up warning people to not believe everything they hear. Lil Wayne reportedly suffered a seizure on Sunday while preparing for an upcoming Las Vegas show. The rapper was soon rushed to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.

Lil Wayne Found Unconscious Due To Seizure

According to People, Lil Wayne suffered multiple seizures.  The first happened in his hotel room, where he was found unconscious. Then after being admitted to Northwestern Memorial, he suffered several more attacks. TMZ reports that Lil Wayne is currently resting on doctor’s orders. His appearance at Drai’s Nightclub in Las Vegas on September 3 has also been canceled. Instead, T.I. and DJ Franzen will perform in his place.
This isn’t the first time Lil Wayne has been hospitalized after a seizure. The Grammy-award winning rapper suffers from epilepsy and has gone through similar incidents in 2012, 2013, and 2016. In June 2016, he suffered through an episode on his jet, which was forced to conduct an emergency landing. Just one month later, another episode forced him to cancel another Las Vegas show.
