‘Married at First Sight’ Season 6, Episode 13 ‘Second Honeymoons’ Recap: Spending Quality Time [SPOILERS]

With less than two weeks left before “Decision Day,” the couples of “Married at First Sight” spend some quality time on a road trip—sort of a short vacation. Hopefully, this quality time together will help them understand the true meaning and essence of marriage. Not to mention how it could help them sort out their feelings.

Ryan and Jaclyn in New York City

Dr. Pepper sat down with Jaclyn and Ryan to find out the progress of their relationship. Dr. Pepper asked the couple about something that they shouldn’t do in the future. Jaclyn answered by saying that she should stop overthinking and focus on trying to know each other. Ryan, on the other hand, said that he would spend more time with Jaclyn and try to go home as early as possible.

Ryan and Jaclyn flew to New York City and didn’t waste any chance to talk about their own opinions and ideas. They also enjoyed a horse-and-carriage ride in Central Park. The two were consistently sweet to each other during their trip, sharing several kisses before their day ended. Although Jaclyn and Ryan’s marriage has been through ups and downs, both of them are hoping that everything will turn out fine.

A ‘Married at First Sight’ Dinner

The three couples met for a simple dinner before their getaway. They talked about the differences and similarities of their marriages. Everyone seems to enjoy the meal, but it gets awkward when Jephte asked about the hardest thing in their marriages and Jonathan said he didn’t want to talk about it.

Jonathan, however, accidentally did when he voiced out that the hardest part for him was the constant rejection. Molly disagreed with him and said that they were literally ninety-nine percent matched but the only thing that is missing is the physical chemistry.

Shawniece was kind enough to advise Jonathan and Molly. She said that the two need to figure out everything. And if not, the only choice left is for them to let go of each other. As for Ryan and Jaclyn, the only problem in their marriage is inconsistency.

Shawniece and Jephte got lost in the corn maze

Shawniece and Jephte decided to travel to Danville, Vermont and settle in a mountain lodge with beautiful scenery. The two watched their wedding video while they snuggled in their bed. Shawniece couldn’t help but cry as she remembered everything, calling it “the best day” of her life.

The next day, Shawniece and Jephte tried a corn maze, but it only left them frustrated. Shawniece was pissed off because she felt that Jephte didn’t want to listen to her and wants to do everything by himself. In the end, the two part ways in the maze and Shawniece walked out annoyed and pissed.

Saving the marriage

Jonathan and Molly opted to travel to Orlando, Florida and spend their time at a resort. Despite the misunderstanding they had regarding the hardest part of their marriage in “Married at First Sight,” Jonathan and Molly still talked to each other. They took the opportunity to settle issues, and Molly said that she is getting closer to Jonathan with each passing adventure and personal conversation with him.

The couple decided to ride roller-coasters and have some quality time at Universal Studios. Molly enjoyed their activity so much because she used to visit Universal studios with her father, who died of pancreatic cancer.

During lunch, Molly shared about her father’s death to Jonathan, and in return, he also shared a summary of the challenges that his family experienced. Jonathan also admitted that he has already seen the worst marriage with his parent’s relationship. He said that his father sued his mother.

To comfort her husband, Molly kissed Jonathan who was very shocked by it. That made Jonathan smile and got another chance to kiss his wife.

“Married at First Sight” continues next Tuesday, April 10th, at 9/8c on the Lifetime channel.
