No Big Surprises in NBC's Fall 2020/21 Primetime Announcements

In a case of better (a month ) late than never, NBC has revealed plans for primetime 2020/21.

With many renewals already previously announced, the schedule is largely without surprises, and closely resembles last year’s offering, with stalwarts such as The Blacklist, This is Us, the Chicago franchise, and New Amsterdam sticking to their regular timeslots and air dates.

The one new kid on the block comes in the form of Law and Order spin-off Law and Order: Organized Crime, which features Christopher Meloni reprising his role as Elliot Stabler.

The new series sees Stabler returning to the NYPD to battle organized crime after a devastating personal loss. However, the city and police department have changed dramatically in the decade he’s been away, and he must adapt to a criminal justice system in the midst of its own moment of reckoning. Throughout the series, NBC promises to follow Stabler’s journey to find absolution and rebuild his life, while leading a new elite task force that is taking apart the city’s most powerful criminal syndicates one by one.

The recently announced-as-returning Good Girls and Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist are expected to reappear mid-season.
