Sarah Jessica Parker: There Isn't A Script, 'Sex and the City 3' Meets the End

There’s a certain degree of sadness over the unfortunate cancellation of the American comedy series ‘Sex and the City.’ And while fans mourn after positively hoping for another funny exploit care of Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) and the gang, the cast also express their disappointment.

Farewell to ‘Sex and the City’

“We had this beautiful, funny, heartbreaking, joyful, very relatable script and story. It’s not just disappointing that we don’t get to tell the story and have that experience, but more so for that audience that has been so vocal in wanting another movie.” says ‘Sex and the City’ star Sarah Jessica Parker to Extra when interviewed about the bad news.

She also tells E! Online that in truth, there has never been a script in the first place. Meanwhile, fans had already started making assumptions on the third movie’s storyline, not knowing that there was actually none.
On set, there have also been a lot of hearsay about co-star Kim Cattrall who plays Samantha Jones. Rumor has it she had something to do with the network’s decision not to push through with the ‘Sex and the City 3.’
Screenrant says that word was going around about Kim’s alleged ultimatum for Warner Bros. to say yes to ‘Sex and the City 3,’ and at the same time approve other projects. According to them, Warner Bros. didn’t exactly like it.
Nonetheless, fans can still hope for a remake (maybe) in the near future. Surely there are tons who are still unsatisfied with the sudden conclusion. Kristin Davis for one, posted on her Instagram account a nostalgic photo of her on set. On her caption, she wrote about her deep dismay: “I wish that we could have made the final chapter, on our own terms, to complete the stories of our characters. It is deeply frustrating not to able to share that chapter (beautifully written by MPK) with all of you.”
For the voracious viewers who are now faced with replays of ‘Sex and the City’ instead of a fresh new third movie, Sarah Jessica Park ends the news with a positive note. She comments: “The idea remains a real possibility but when is the right time? I guess that’s what it all boils down to—when! So we’ll see.”
