'SIX' Season 2, Episode 4 'Seesaw' Recap: Chances [SPOILERS]

This episode of SIX sheds light on the intelligence aspect of modern warfare. Also, it realistically depicts struggles that a soldier experiences while trying to live their civilian lives. As seen in the previous chapter, having the wrong intelligence can prove to be fatal to the team on the mission field as well as to the head of the operation, so getting the right information is crucial. “Seesaw” highlights the consequences of being the wrong informant.

In this week’s episode of SIX, Agent Gina Cline (Olivia Munn) gives Michael Nasry (Dominic Adams) one last chance at using what he can off of his connection to the Prince, Tamerlin Shishoni (Nikolai Nikolaeff). During their time off, the SEALs use the opportunity to be with their families and their loved ones. Unexpectedly, a high-ranking Ambassador gets abducted.

Rest and Recreation

Armin ‘Fishbait’ Khan (Jaylen Moore) visits his brother, Jamal (Pasha Ebrahimi) who was taking time off from his job at the hospital. As Fishbait starts to help Jamal up, Jamal stumbles, bumping onto a table with empty glass bottles. The shattered bottles injure his elbows, but he and his brother laugh it off as they left the strip club. When they finally reach Jamal’s house, they start to have an in-depth conversation about how the world sees them as Muslims, but once again, they laugh it off.

Robert Chase III (Edwin Hodge) meets his lover, Sam Rivera (Sandy Sidhu) at a party in a bar. She admires his disregard of the disrespectful comments one of the bar patrons said about his profession. Shortly after this, they start making out. They decide to take their passions home with them, so Sam freshens up at the comfort room. Meanwhile, Robert starts telling the same gruesome story he said to the SEALs, but he cuts it short when Sam walks out and looks at him expectantly.

Recovery

Lindsley Register in SIX

History

The entire team visits Alex Caulder (Kyle Schmid) at the hospital, recovering from his hand injury. Shortly after Alex’s daughter, Dharma Caulder (Lindlsey Register) arrives, the team leaves the room. While waiting for Joe ‘Bear’ Graves (Barry Sloane) at the hallway, Trevor Wozniak (Eric Ladin) tells them a story about his dog who loses its sanity after recovering from its injuries, and then he unreasonably compares this to Alex. The SEALs dismiss what he says as they left the hospital.

Later that evening, Alex needed to use the toilet, so Dharma helps him get up. When he enters the restroom, he collapses. Dharma tries to look for help by calling out to nurses, but no one responds. As she tries to help Alex up, Alex tells her to stay away from him. A nurse finally arrives so Dharma lets the nurse help Alex instead.

Family Problems

When Ricky ‘Budhha’ Ortiz (Juan-Pablo Raba) arrives home, he discovers that the locks to the apartment they have been renting were changed. His wife, Jackie Ortiz (Nadine Velasquez) tells him that she has changed the locks for their safety. As Ricky comes in, Jackie airs her suspicion about Anabel Ortiz (Jessica Garza), their daughter. Jackie thinks that Anabel uses marijuana. Before Anabel left the house, Ricky talks to her, reminding her that her mom needed her.

Barry Sloane in SIX

History

Joe goes on a date with his wife, Lena Graves (Brianne Davis). After meeting up at a fancy restaurant, Joe takes her to the Aquarium. There, they talk about Joe’s experiences on the field. As nightfall approaches, they decide to go to the playground where they used to bring their deceased daughter, Sarah to. Lena is enraged at how Joe presents his grief over their daughter’s death. Their conversation sparks an argument; then Joe promptly walks out.

The next day, Jackie drives Anabel to school. Once she drops her off, she monitors her location through a GPS tracker she set on Anabel’s phone. Later that day, Jackie starts to practice shooting at a gun range. She misses her targets, so she calmly tries again. She does all this without Ricky knowing. While Anabel is at school, Marissa (Katherine Evans) secretly takes photos of her.

Amir Hatim Al-Muttaqi (Jarreth J. Merz) introduces Michael to the Prince. At first, the Prince is skeptical of Michael’s introduction, deeming him unfit for his organization’s motives. However, Michael asserts himself by telling the Prince about new approaches that would be beneficial to the organization. Impressed, the Prince dismissively asks Amir where he found Michael.

Nikolai Nikolaeff in SIX

History

The Prince talks to a crowd that circled him, convincing them to join him in his Jihadist organization. He mentions some of Michael’s means of achieving their goals, and this impresses the crowd. Sometime soon, The Prince has Michael kill a young man as a test of his loyalties. Michael strangles the man to death, earning the Prince’s trust.

Abduction

Ambassador Andrew Hall (Ken Tremblett) tries to broker a deal between him representing America and Yuri Petrov (Adam Tsekhman) representing Russia. Their contract is about Russia’s oil supply. Yuri cuts the negotiation short to make a call, so he goes outside the art gallery. Suddenly, armed men wearing ski masks start shooting, then they take the Ambassador and his Envoy hostage. A wounded guard manages to disable one of the armed men.

Deathrow

Agent Cline brings Michael in a van. After removing the cover on his head, she tells him that they are on their way to the airport. He was facing execution unless he comes up with something useful to Agent Cline and the bureau. Michael starts telling her what he knows about the Prince. After he says something worthwhile, Agent Cline shows Michael photos of Russian men, asking him if he could identify any of them. Michael points on one of them who turns out to be an asset of the Bureau, so they continue their journey to the airport.

They finally arrive at the airport. So far, Michael has given nothing that Agent Cline could use, so she let him wait in despair, chained to a Humvee. When the agents grab Michael to board him on the plane, Michael tells Agent Cline about the man he had to kill to prove his loyalty, buried near the site of The Princes’ family’s murder. Because of this, Agent Cline orders the men to stop; then she calls the bureau.

Kate Kilcannon (Samantha Ferris) arrives at the airport. She tells Agent Cline about the kidnapping incident and the involvement of the Prince’s network. Also, the body that Michael had pointed out was found with his DNA prints on it.  Because of this, Gina had to continue working with Michael.
