'SIX' Season 2, Episode 6 'Indian Country' Recap: Orders [SPOILERS]

This episode of SIX portrays how a person’s status would affect a country’s approach when it comes to hostages. Also, the protagonists’ dislike for their orders is constant, but just as any soldier would do, they still follow them. The concept of negotiating with terrorists is quite tricky, a fact revolving around the episode. The real action would take place in the next chapter, but in this one, they had to face their thoughts about the mission.

In this week’s episode of SIX, the SEALs reluctantly follow orders to lead a hostage transport. The Prince, Tamerlin Shishoni (Nikolai Nikolaeff) wants Michael Nasry (Dominic Adams) in exchange for Ambassador Andrew Hall (Ken Tremblett). Tension stirs among the SEALs as they head to the location along with Agent Gina Cline (Olivia Munn) who was requested to do the exchange. At home, Alex Caulder (Kyle Schmid) and the rest of the SEAL’s relatives deal with the feeling of being left behind.

History

Alex is drinking at a bar. Some ladies approach him and try to flirt with him. He notices Lena Graves (Brianne Davies) enter the bar with Nathan (Simon Arblaster), her art teacher. Alex confronts her about it, but she counters him by asking if the ladies who were with him were the ones he picked up for Bear when they partied. However, she tells them that he was doing her a favor. Shortly after this, Lena left.

Alex decides to pay a visit to the base. No one was around since the SEALs are still on duty, so he left. Alex spent the rest of the afternoon with his daughter, Dharma Caulder (Lindsley Register) at the beach, shooting targets. Alex teaches her how to use the pistol, and they end up having a great time up until Alex’s injuries catch up to him once more.

Guns at Home

Jackie Ortiz (Nadine Velasquez) leave the grocery with her son, Ricky Ortiz Jr. (Joshua Gage) and her daughter, Anabel Ortiz (Jessica Garza). She notices a suspicious-looking man (Peta Gatsby), so she readies her gun. As the man passed by them, he brings out an envelope from his breast pocket and places it in the mail. Anabel is shocked when she sees her mother’s gun while the man returned to his car. At the shooting range, Marissa (Katherine Evans) does target practice.

Following Orders

Trevor Wozniak (Eric Ladin) jokes around the SEALs while they are at a forward operating base. Commander Scott Hughes (Erik Palladino) commends the team for their work. However, they had a new mission. Michael’s arrival brings the SEALs’ temper up until Joe “Bear” Graves (Barry Sloane) calms them down. Agent Cline insists that they were there, so the mission was automatically theirs.

They leave the base on a helicopter and head for the location The Prince setup as their exchange point. When they arrive, a senior woman gives Gina a phone that The Prince uses as a means of communication as he changes the location of the hostage exchange. The base recalls the Air support. History

They buy the bus. However, someone was following them. At nightfall, a road blockade by Russian gangsters prevents their passage. Gina tries to negotiate, but Bear knew that her attempt was bound to fail, so when the SEALs are in position, they eliminate the gangsters. The Russians assault the back of the bus. Armin “Fishbait” Khan (Jaylen Moore) takes them out. Consequently, Michael uses the opportunity to escape.

As the SEALs fanned out, Michael continued to run away. Eventually, Ricky “Buddha” Ortiz captures him. Bear stops him from shooting Michael, who told Buddha that their families were in danger and that he could save him. Once they reach the bus, Buddha argues with Gina, fearing for his family’s safety. He calms down when Bear steps in and relieves the tension. Before going back inside the bus, Buddha punches Michael repeatedly.

When they are five kilometers away from the exchange point, Trevor realizes that the Russians were using them as an excuse to invade Georgia. The exchange point was a village in the Chechnya-Russia border. Bear agrees with him and says that he would not let his men go to the town without any backup. However, the Joint Chiefs of Staff ordered them to proceed, leaving them no choice.

SIX continues next Wednesday, July 3rd, with “FUBAR” at 10/9c on The History Channel.
