Super Bowl LII Movie TV Spots & Trailers

‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’: The Monsters are Coming!

The sequel to Colin Trevorrow’s “Jurassic World,” the newest entry of the “Jurassic Park” franchise seems to be putting higher stakes on its dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures. The end is somewhat here for the park—unless Owen and Claire can stop it.
SYNOPSIS: It’s been four years since theme park and luxury resort Jurassic World was destroyed by dinosaurs out of containment. Isla Nublar now sits abandoned by humans while the surviving dinosaurs fend for themselves in the jungles. When the island’s dormant volcano begins roaring to life, Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) mount a campaign to rescue the remaining dinosaurs from this extinction-level event. Owen is driven to find Blue, his lead raptor who’s still missing in the wild, and Claire has grown a respect for these creatures she now makes her mission. Arriving on the unstable island as lava begins raining down, their expedition uncovers a conspiracy that could return our entire planet to a perilous order not seen since prehistoric times.

Han Solo Wants to Make a Difference in ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’

The “Solo: A Star Wars Story” teaser starts off strong, with a chipper tone all throughout. “So you want to make a difference,” asks an imperial officer to someone who we all presume to be Han Solo. “Trust me, you’re gonna love it.” Ships are lowered from an incoming Star Destroyer, and we are then treated to shots of our main cast, including Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, and Donald Glover. It’s an awesome overall visual treat, what with scenes showing the Millennium Falcon in its prime form, and how the journey is going to become for Han Solo. The official full trailer drops tomorrow.

‘Mission: Impossible – Fallout’: Stunts, Stunts, and a Whole Lotta Stunts!

there’s one thing that’s recurrent throughout the entire trailer—Tom Cruise doing every stunt imaginable. We see him fall from the sky, dangling from a helicopter (remember when he also swayed from an airplane during takeoff?), in a head-on collision with a truck, and many more. His infamous foot injury scene is also included! Apart from that, Henry Cavill also makes his debut in the “Mission: Impossible” franchise as one of the villains, and honestly, what could be better than seeing a CGI-less—with a full-on mustache—Cavill making bullet rain upon Cruise right? There’s everything that a long-time “Mission: Impossible” fan can ever hope of seeing—hopefully, it’s not too much of fan service, and the story has a tasteful approach in the action genre.
SYNOPSIS: The best intentions often come back to haunt you. MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – FALLOUT finds Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his IMF team (Alec Baldwin, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames) along with some familiar allies (Rebecca Ferguson, Michelle Monaghan) in a race against time after a mission gone wrong. Henry Cavill, Angela Bassett, and Vanessa Kirby also join the dynamic cast with filmmaker Christopher McQuarrie returning to the helm.

The Entire MCU Suits Up Against Thanos in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’

In the latest “Avengers: Infinity War” trailer, we get to see the entire hero roster of the Marvel Cinematic Universe suited up to face one big bad—Thanos. It’s significantly full of additional footages from the movie, and it’s also where we see Spider-Man’s new suit courtesy of Tony Stark. Technically, we still haven’t got a second official trailer, but by the looks of it, we already know what we need to know about the movie.

‘Red Sparrow’: Jennifer Lawrence isn’t the common spy

She’s a ballerina, but she’s also one of the world’s deadliest female spies. Jennifer Lawrence plays Dominika Egorova, the newest recruit of the Sparrow School—a somewhat angstier and more covert version of the CIA. Based on Lawrence’s name, you’d assume she’s Russian until she does the accent. It’s a convincing one, but of course, not as perfect as the real thing.
SYNOPSIS: Dominika Egorova is many things. A devoted daughter determined to protect her mother at all costs. A prima ballerina whose ferocity has pushed her body and mind to the absolute limit. A master of seductive and manipulative combat. When she suffers a career-ending injury, Dominika and her mother are facing a bleak and uncertain future. That is why she finds herself manipulated into becoming the newest recruit for Sparrow School, a secret intelligence service that trains exceptional young people like her to use their bodies and minds as weapons. After enduring the perverse and sadistic training process, she emerges as the most dangerous Sparrow the program has ever produced. Dominika must now reconcile the person she was with the power she now commands, with her own life and everyone she cares about at risk, including an American CIA agent who tries to convince her he is the only person she can trust.

‘A Quiet Place’ Makes You Fear The Stillness

There’s still a lot to know about Paramount Pictures’ thriller, “A Quiet Place.” Starring Emily Blunt and John Krasinski, the story follows a family who literally lives in quiet—for fear of that thing who’s out to get them if they make a sound. The first trailer made us think that it’s a monster, but the newest TV spot says otherwise. It turns out, that this thing was caused by a major cataclysmic event that wiped out the human race.
If they hear you, they hunt you.

Dwayne Johnson Jumps Unrealistically to safety (or death?) in ‘Skyscraper’

What is it with The Rock and these near-death and disaster movies? Dwayne Johnson plays a retired FBI Agent who now works as a  security guy for huge skyscrapers. He is then framed, and things go haywire from there on. Seriously, how extra can the premise be? And that jump that The Rock makes at the end? That’s a SURE FIRE plummet to the right there.
SYNOPSIS: Global icon Dwayne Johnson leads the cast of Legendary’s Skyscraper as former FBI Hostage Rescue Team leader and U.S. war veteran Will Ford, who now assesses security for skyscrapers. On assignment in China he finds the tallest, safest building in the world suddenly ablaze, and he’s been framed for it. A wanted man on the run, Will must find those responsible, clear his name and somehow rescue his family who is trapped inside the building…above the fire line.

‘The Cloverfield Paradox’ does a surprise release date

Star Wars and Star Trek genius J.J. Abrams’ “Cloverfield” franchise keeps growing. And by growing, we mean expanding like crazy! His previous releases, 2008’s “Cloverfield,” directed by Matt Reeves, and 2016’s “10 Cloverfield Lane,” directed by Dan Trachtenberg did little as to explain the occurrence of this alien monster. “The Cloverfield Paradox”—AKA The God Particle—aims to answer those questions. What’s great about it is that the movie is coming sooner than you think, in fact, it’s out now on Netflix.
SYNOPSIS: Ten years ago, some THING arrived. Today, we now know why. After a scientific experiment aboard the space station involving a particle accelerator has unexpected results, the astronauts find themselves isolated. Following their horrible discovery, the space station crew must fight for survival.

Super Bowl LII TV Show Teasers

‘Westworld’ Season 2: The Hosts Take Their World Back

Today marks two new feats for HBO: a new trailer for “Westworld” Season 2, and the network’s first Super Bowl ad in 20 years! It’s a fantastic day for fans of the Emmy-winning drama, as they’re now in for a second season this April. It’s amazing how the trailer is cut to evoke tension and fear in the midst of an otherwise cheerful soundtrack by series composer Ramin Djawadi. And with all the scenes involving a massive revolution from the park’s Hosts, who knows what other damages could be done, and what it would mean for the humans who run the show?

‘This Is Us’ finally shows us Jack Pearson’s death

For a show known to hit us right in the feelings, the special “This Is Us” episode that aired right after the Super Bowl shows us how Jack Pearson met his end. Remember how they forgot to buy batteries for the smoke alarm? Yep. That’s it.

John Krasinski stars in Amazon’s latest war series, ‘Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan’

You’ve got to hand it over to Krasinski for making it to the Super Bowl jumbotron twice! After “A Quiet Place,” he now stars as Jack Ryan, Tom Clancy’s famous spy character in his novels.
SYNOPSIS: When CIA analyst Jack Ryan stumbles upon a suspicious series of bank transfers his search for answers pulls him from the safety of his desk job and catapults him into a deadly game of cat and mouse throughout Europe and the Middle East, with a rising terrorist figurehead preparing for a massive attack against the US and her allies.

And finally, here’s Justin Timberlake’s stunning and energy-filled Super Bowl Halftime Performance featuring Prince and Ryan McKenna, the #SelfieKid:
