Grooms Day! Down and Dirty

CLAY, NICK, CHRIS R., CONNOR, BRYAN ABASOLO, LINCOLN, RACHEL LINDSAY, BECCA KUFRIN, DAVID, JORDAN, JEAN

ABC/ Paul Herbert

Clay, Nick, Chris, David, Jean Blanc, Jordan, Connor, and Lincoln are put through the wringer in the first challenge, dappered up in tuxedos right on an open field to see who can make it out to the other end. This group gets down and dirty with a series of tests set up in an obstacle course:

  • Ball and Chain – The bachelors strapped a 25-pound ball to their ankle to drag it to the next obstacle.
  • Cold feet – After completing the first task, the men then rushed into a drum of freezing water and turned the sand glass timer beside them over; all while staying in, making sure the tiniest trickle of sand goes through before going to the next level.
  • Slippery Slope – The contenders raced and climbed up a slippery stairway and jump over it.
  • Get Over Your Exes – The bachelors crawled through the obstacles planted on the ground and got a bouquet at the end, putting it in the vase and proceeded to the next hurdle.
  • Cake tasting – The last obstacle featured four cakes placed across the field, with two rings hidden inside. Using only their mouths, the bachelors bit through the cake to search for the rings. The first two bachelors who acquire the rings must then crawl through an aisle that leads to where Becca will be waiting.

Due to his determination, speed, and stamina, Lincoln succeeded.

Cue the Drama

Right after the over-the-top challenge, Lincoln and Conor reached a snapping point over the wedding photo Lincoln received from Becca. The bachelors, especially Conor, weren’t too delighted with Lincoln getting cocky, so he aggressively approached the framed picture, smashed it, and threw it outside. After the heated conflict, the night went on with Blake’s efforts paying off, allowing him to snag the first date.

They came in like a wrecking ball.

BLAKE, BECCA KUFRIN

ABC/ Paul Hebert

This interesting first date was to use a sledgehammer and wreck all things associated with Becca’s painful experience with her ex. Following the date was a romantic and heartfelt dinner beside a fireplace, where they talked about their experiences with their past relationships. The date ended with a passionate kiss as Blake banked the first one-on-one date rose.

Love comes at you hard and fast.

The next set of bachelors who were put to the test were Garette, Ricky, John, Ryan, Alex, Chris, Trent, Leo, Wills, and Colton.

The challenge was the “Ultimate Bachelorette Dodgeball Championship.” The bachelors were split into twothe Pink Team and the Green Team. The game got so intense as the crowd rooted for their favorites.

To get the coveted one-on-one date rose, the bachelors stepped up their A game. With Becca’s heart on the line, it was now up to the bachelors’ dodging and hitting strategies to get her attention.

The Green Team won the challenge, but Leo from the Pink Team stood all throughout every round, as he was always the last man standing. After their individual talks with Becca, Wills got the next one-on-one date rose.

Throughout the competitions, the bachelors used their own clever ways to get closer to Becca. Jordan, on the other hand, stripped all his clothes off, walked right through the room where Becca and David were having a one-on-one talk. This wild, utterly unexpected move disrespected David. Hence, a heated-up confrontation transpired.
