'The Purge' Season 1 Episode 3 'The Urge To Purge' Recap: Give In

At some point in our lives, we can not help but give in to our desires. While the chaos brought about by The Purge continues, Totalitarian America’s Elite continue their party in the Stanton Mansion. Meanwhile, the blue school bus goes about its route, sending its passengers to their deaths. Also, in an unexpected place, bloodshed occurs.

In this week’s episode of The Purge, Penelope (Jessica Garza) prepares herself for The Giving. While this happens, Rick (Colin Woodell) and Jenna (Hannah Emily Anderson) successfully close their business deal, but it comes with consequences. Elsewhere, Jane’s (Amanda Warren) plans seemingly fail, but she discovers something far worse.

After a disturbing encounter with Lila (Lili Simmons), Jenna finally makes her way back to the party. Shortly after Jenna reunites with Rick, Albert Stanton (Reed Diamond) calls for him in his office, prompting the start of their deal negotiations. However, Albert also calls Jenna before they began. Eventually, they come to acceptable terms of an agreement, so they celebrate. Unfortunately, Albert’s idea of celebration involved killing a man who used to work for him. Rick and Jenna decline to participate, so Albert kills the man in front of the couple.

Once they leave the office, Rick comforts Jenna. Jenna tries to leave the mansion, but Rick calms her down. As he went to get refreshments, Lila swoops in and takes Jenna away with her. When Rick returns, he could not find either of them in the scene.

When he notices that Penelope was not there, he goes back outside to talk to Tavis, who tells him that a group of people dressed as nuns took Penelope. These were the same people who pointed him to the bus’ direction. Now, Miguel had to find a car and follow The Nuns before the night ends.
