Get an Inside Look at the Making of Marvel’s Secret Invasion
Published 10 months ago
The last we saw of Nick Fury he was running things with Skrulls in space, but it looks like he’s going to be coming back to Earth with the Disney+ series Secret Invasion. Disney has just dropped an inside look at the series, and we get an idea of the tone and direction the show is going to go.
Check this out:
Though Nick Fury has mostly been a supporting character since he debuted on Iron Man, Secret Invasion is said to be the first property that’s going to have him be the main character. Alongside Fury will be Maria Hill who has been by his side since the first Avengers film, as well as the Talos who we met in Captain Marvel.
Despite all the familiar characters returning, we’ll also be getting some new faces introduced in the show as well. Emilia Clarke is said to be playing this Skrull sleeper agent named G’iah, and Olivia Coleman looks to be the primary antagonist Special Agent Sonya Falsworth. Kingsley Ben-Adir is also said to be playing the Rebel Skrull leader Gravik.
Though shows like Moon Knight and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier pretty much adhere to the ‘Marvel Formula,’ we have been getting some more experimental series like She-Hulk which is a full-on meta comedy. Ms. Marvel also takes some interesting directions, but it’s ultimately another superhero origin. Hopefully Secret Invasion will be the Andor that the Marvel Disney+ shows have been waiting for.
Secret Invasion premieres on Disney+ on June 21.
