Leslie Grace Shares Look at Her Updated Batsuit
Published 1 year ago
The cancelled Batgirl movie had Leslie Grace donning a batsuit that looked like it was something Barbara Gordon cobbled together, but she would have gotten an upgraded supersuit by the end of the movie. Though WB has no plans to release the film anymore, Grace is stirring up some fan support by releasing a look at her upgraded batsuit.

With the color scheme on the suit, some fans have pointed out that it looks like the classic Batgirl outfit from the 60s that’s been updated for the 2020s. It has all the trademarks of a modern superhero outfit, but I’m honestly still more of a fan of the DIY look of her homemade suit that she uses for most of the movie.
Admittedly, it’s pretty disappointing that WB would refuse to release the Batgirl movie despite them having wrapped filming and being well into post-production. We don’t know exactly why they would delay the film, but some speculate that it would have something to do with the movie drawing from a story element that had been changed for The Flash—specifically Michael Keaton becoming the new DCEU Batman.
With James Gunn and Peter Safran going back to one though, all those plans seem to have been thrown off the table. Who knows, maybe there’s room for the Batgirl movie to release somewhere; but as of now, it looks like it will just have to stay on the shelf.
Batgirl has no release date.
