Castle Spoilers: 5 Things to Know About

EDIT: Castle’s Monday, Jan. 27 episode, “Dressed to Kill” will now air on Monday, Feb. 3 instead.

On Monday, Castle and Beckett take on the world of high fashion as they attempt to solve the murder of a young woman who worked as an assistant for a powerful fashion magazine editor.

As the case becomes more complicated, and a rival magazine’s interests cloud the issue, Rick and Katherine find themselves up to their elbows in rhinestones, tulle and black coral. Who did it? Will there still be time to plan the wedding? And isn’t this the episode where we get to see Kate trying on that dress for the first time?

Check out our (very non spoilery) teasers for “Dressed to Kill” below, and catch the episode Monday Jan. 27 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

1. Murder is the New Black.

No it didn’t make much sense to us either, but Rick’s tendency to give cases book titles does hint that there’s more to this one than meets the eye. Death threats, exterminators who plant bugs instead of removing them, and shadowy figures lurking in alleyways, all add up to … a case that continues to intrigue until the closing moments.

2. The Dress! The Cheek Bones!

Are we fed up hearing about Katherine’s dress yet? Of course we’re not fed up hearing about Katherine’s dress yet! Kate’s modelling history, and those fabulous cheekbones, present a unique opportunity for her to try on the wedding dress of a lifetime. Prepare to be wowed. And then wowed some more.

3. Cold Feet?

After that moment on the swing set earlier this season, we may have imagined the cold feet were firmly behind us. Not so, Caskett fans. Prepare for one of our duo to have some unsettling pre-wedding thoughts. Noooo!

4. Channeling Prada

Frances Fisher (you’ll see more of her on ABC’s Revolution a little later this season) does an impressive job of channeling Meryl Streep’s Miranda Priestly (who in turn did a fantastic Anna Wintour) in The Devil Wears Prada. Maybe too impressive a job? We’ve even got a flying fur coat scene. Regardless, Fisher is delightful as Matilda King, head of Modern Fashion, a fashion magazine challenged by the digital age. You’ll love her and she’ll keep you guessing till the end.

5. The Wedding Venue

With plenty of material available to Castle writers for the happy couple to clash over the venue, Rick and Katherine are surprisingly on the same page about Cardona House, the exquisitely beautiful venue for their wedding reception. Better not let those cold feet stand in the way of a deposit, guys. We hear it’s otherwise booked solid until 2015.
