Ahsoka Series to Allegedly Feature ‘Reforged’ Stormtrooper Armor Like Kylo Ren’s from TROS

It’s been a while since Disney has announced their Ahsoka series, but we have yet to have a look at the actual show. We know that Ahsoka is on the hunt for Grand Admiral Thrawn, and we have some possible new details on who his ‘army’ will be in the series.

As per Making Star Wars, Thrawn will be in command of some Stormtroopers bearing ‘reforged’ armor like Kylo Ren’s from The Rise of Skywalker. We don’t have any images of the new variant of trooper, but it’s said that the cracks in their armor will be gold instead of blood red like Kylo’s.

There is also word going around that these troopers are actually undead that are brought back to life by Nightsister magic, but so far, nothing official has been confirmed. With Ahsoka herself being adept with the Force, I would imagine that she could go up against an adversary that was also well-versed in the ‘fantasy’ side of Star Wars lore—unlike The Mandalorian and Andor that focus more heavily on the non-Force users.

With Ahsoka playing a secondary role in The Mandalorian, I’m excited for her to finally take the spotlight. Rosario Dawson is some amazing casting, and I can’t wait for her to really sink her teeth in the role. I just hope that Dave Filoni focuses more on character development as compared to Mando which kind of became too lost in its references to other material.

The Ahsoka series is expected to premiere sometime this year on Disney+.
