Andor Featurette Gives Inside Look at the 'Heist' Arc

While series like The Book of Boba Fett and Obi-Wan Kenobi may go a lot of places with an ‘adventure-every-episode’ format, Andor seems to take the more subtle route, having one arc told over the course of several episodes.

The show had just recently wrapped up the ‘heist’ arc, and we have a new featurette looking into the making of episodes 4-6. Watch this:

Cassian has always been kind of a grey character ever since he was introduced to us in Rogue One, and Andor kind of gives us a look at several other characters that could have helped Cassian form his opinion on the Rebellion.

While there are some characters who believe in the mission of the Rebellion (like Nemik), we have some characters who are like Cassian who are really just looking out for themselves (like Arvel). With Cassian also having no love for the Empire, it’s interesting that he should be exposed to Lieutenant Gorn who is an Imperial defector who helps make the heist a reality.

Admittedly, Andor is reporting the lowest numbers of a Disney+ Star Wars show, but the reviews have been sparkling, and a lot of people are saying that this is the best Disney+  has had to offer when it comes to the SW IP.

Like the Marvel series, I think SW should do well to try and diversify its catalogue, and I think Tony Gilroy has done a tremendous job giving more backstory to Cassian and the early Rebels.

The “Andor” series will explore a new perspective from the Star Wars galaxy, focusing on Cassian Andor’s journey to discover the difference he can make. The series brings forward the tale of the burgeoning rebellion against the Empire and how people and planets became involved. It’s an era filled with danger, deception and intrigue where Cassian will embark on the path that is destined to turn him into a rebel hero.

Catch Andor on Disney+ with new episodes coming out every Wednesday.
